Have a look at Synthopia @ http://www.synthtopia.com/ , see the SoundCloud Dropbox widget in the right sidebar. I'd suggest (if you haven't already) chatting with the SoundCloud makers and see if they can make your wish for track inclusion come true in the widget. For example, it shows the dropbox, then underneath, it shows a list of recently submitted/accepted tracks. :)

I'd love to see an exclusive AUDIOTUTS-branded line of freebie sample & presets packs! (Not just goodies from ccmixter, Freesound, etc.) Would encourage people to visit for more!

Also, while it's grand that the "main bases" of audio software are being covered here, more focuses on specific VST plugins (which can be used in any supported host) would be awesome. Or a roundup of similar types of plugins, like C64 SID-sound ones, or freeware limiters.

The "Flickr for audio" question is a fine one; I've been wondering myself. It seems like unless there's a more elegant solution found (and I like what SoundCloud has a lot), it might be a matter of having an RSS feed as a rich widget.

Design to gain inspiration from: http://trackitdown.net which has an awesome player! I wish more music players were like that. I even did a tour earlier because I was so impressed: http://torley.com/trackitdown-has-an-awesome-mp3-preview-player

I second the notion for separated areas for specific programs. For example, I'm a pro tools and reason guy, so I'd mostly be into that stuff...

Also - more freebies downloads!

"How about having segregated sections for different music programs, eg. Reason, Logic, FL7 etc. Be pretty good for people who stick to a singular program and want to find out the most about it."

My thoughts exactly, G.

My main thing is hopefully seeing AudioTUTS go back to the 5 posts a week instead of 3 posts a week schedule. I understand that the site isn't doing as well as the other TUTS sites, but I don't think cutting back on articles is making any more readers join the site.

Thanks Emmett, checking out SoundCloud, it looks really cool! I like their design too :-) Am going to see if there are any options to integrate a group into the site, that would be well cool.

@Griffin & Gazza: Thanks for the feedback, I'll tell Skellie and Joel! The thing about the articles is they bring in the traffic and at this point the site needs it. Still worth some thought!
