Each week we open our mic to readers and lurkers alike to come out of the woodwork and tell us your thoughts and opinion, your experiences and mistakes, what you love and what you hate. We want to hear from you, and here’s your chance.
I’m looking forward to 2012. How can we help you grow as a musician and producer this year? Do you have any questions you’d like answered, or topics you’d love tuts and tips on? Let us know!

PRO TOOLS TUTORIALS…for electronic music. No one does these.
That’s because no one uses pro tools for electronic music.
And THATS because to produce electronic music you do not have to be a “pro” ;) (do not take it seriously ;)
HI there, i really appreciate your tuts! As you give us the chance to request for a tutorial. I would like to ask how i can do in cubase 5 to have a drum sample with a full octave assigned to it as an individual instrument not a full drum kit,in order do some pitched snares and low kicks as in fl studio to use in modern rnb and hip hop. Thanks in advance
a tutorial of mixing a bass in rock nroll music and mixing a hard rock song please thanks
I would like to see more logic 9 indepth mixing and mastering tutorials for the rap/hip hop genre. As well as a logic 9 tutorial on how to and the importance of pitching/tuning drums and percussion sounds in order to fit/compliment the song key! thanks in advance
I usually just lurk through here looking for mixing and mastering tips. Most of the time it’s complicating Trying out the advanced tut. I would like to see a home studio recorded song preferbally vocals mixed and mastered in pro tools. Getting the vocals clear is the easy part it’s just mastering the song in the end is difficult because the vocals are always drowned out by the beat everytime. So I would like to see a full pro tools session mixed and mastered step by step just to see how’s it done by the professionals
