L2: I agree, the hurdy gurdy definitely sounds better in the hands of Page and Plant (or Arcade Fire, for that matter). But, when I see an opportunity to make fun of Sting, I leap at it.

Nice.

But I would say the Hurdy Gurdy sounds better in "Jimmy Page and Robert Plants - Gallow Pole"

Eric: Actually, they only show up once a week on Wednesday mornings (not every other day). They have in fact become one of the most popular forms of content on AUDIOTUTS.

We're still publishing the same amount of tutorials as before; if we were publishing fewer tutorials to make room for these I'd have a problem with it, too. But as it stands these (very popular) articles aren't interfering with anything else and they are easy enough to skip over.

Well I can shed a little light on Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen's famous five-neck guitar. I know Rick pretty well and even got to (briefly) hold that baby. It weighs 57 pounds, he told me. And it felt it!
Why a five-neck?
Because he wanted to have a guitar that spun around and, while he was having it made, ZZ Top came out with theirs. So he had to do something else- and he came up with this.
He used to wear 2 or 3 guitars around his neck at once (some old videos, circa 1976-77, will even show that) and felt this made more sense and was easier (though not much)- but it sure looks cooler!
Hope that helps!
Now, as for the Theremin, I always thought it was Jimmy Page who brought the most attention to that, no?

I agree with Eric Shafer, and no offence to the author; because this is an interesting article, but I'm not sure wether this is what I want to see here.
