I enjoyed this. Guitar tracks sounded great to me. Two things I would suggest reconsidering, though, would be the siren-like sound in the background from 0:38-1:10, which I found distracting to the point that it began to take away from the overall track, and I would’ve liked to have heard the drums at 2:05 with a thicker bass and more reverb overall on that track. Aside from those two things, I got into this good.
The track is sounding great Rinem, the guitar melodies sound good.
I think the siren sound works well as a transition effect, perhaps refine it in your mix a bit?
I think the track could benifit from some subtle delay on the guitar in parts.
And possibly change your kick drum, it sounds too synthetic for the track.
Lastly, the bass could be a bit beefier, if your using EXS24 for that just try out a few different presets.
First of all, I love the main guitar motif! :D
Now for what I’d change. First, I feel the bass is too loud, it feels like it’s fighting for attention.
The same goes for the snare in what seems to be the chorus. Second, I have no problem with the kicks in the chorus section, but the kicks in what seem to be the verse sections do indeed sound too fake.
I won’t say anything about the general style, I feel that would be wanting changing the essence of the song :P
And now if you ask me if the track has potential, well, let’s just say that with the right lyrics and vocals, this IS a song I would take along with me on a music player ;)
