Description of the track:

This is a quite extraordinary pop ballad from us. The song structure is kept simple on purpose: It starts with vocals and piano only, evolving into epic cinematic-like mood towards the end of the song.

The song was recorded in Cubase. All instruments are VST’s, vocals were recorded with the T-Bone SC600 condenser microphone using M-Audio Fast Track Pro as an audio interface.

Can you think of any ways to make the end of the song a little more interesting lyric or composing wise?

  • Houh

Nicely done, guys. The chorus is fine, but it’s maybe too repetitive for my taste. Those epic drums are awesome, though.

awesome song… my suggestion is maybe the hi freqs were kinda too much… maybe adjust that a little bit..? and maybe change the piano vst?.. listen to the intro and there’s an annoying click kinda sound on the piano.

I would lower the shhh sound only in the reverberated sound, it’s not that bad in the actual one.
Also, try lowering the voice’s or drums’ reverb when the drums start, it gets really annoying when the hi-hat like sound starts.

Luca, you are right. Those shhh’s in the reverb really ring through pretty badly. Also the breath sounds are too obvious, as someone already mentioned, so those are the points we should take into consideration.
Oh, and the drums – their reverb was there to ‘glue’ the track better into the mix.
