Electric Guitar Power Chords

Stereo recorded Epiphone SG Special guitar. Samples at 44.1 KHz samplerate, 24 bit, stereo. Two guitars for every chord (left and right, different amps), beside distortion and amp, samples are dry so you can add your own reverb or delay or whatever you might want.

Patch Description

  • From D1 to Bb2 long power chords.
  • B2 – Slide on low strings
  • C3 – Slide with guitar pick on the strings
  • C#3 – Flageolet on G string, sound like feedback from amp
  • From D3 to Bb4 muted and short chords on two dynamic layers (soft=muted, hard=short chord, hard attack).

Acoustic Guitar Strums

Mono recorded Fender CD-60CE Nat major and minor chords, one strum and muted strums so you can make your own patterns. Samples at 44.1 KHz samplerate, 24 bit, mono. Samples are dry so you can add your own reverb or delay or whatever you might want. If you want the guitars to sound stereo, I suggest getting ADT vst and put it on the acoustic guitar’s channel.

Patch Description

  • From C2 to B2 long major chords, down stroke.
  • From C3 to B3 muted and short major chords, up stroke, on two dynamic layers (soft=muted, hard=short chord, hard attack).
  • From C4 to B4 long minor chords, down stroke.
  • From C5 to B5 muted and short minor chords, up stroke, on two dynamic layers (soft=muted, hard=short chord, hard attack).

  3. Hi everione.
Thanks for the feedback on my samplepack.
Iv got an e-mail from the creator of Mu.Lab regarding the installing procedure. I will quote it here:

“Note that Rock Pack (or any other library pack) should not be dropped in Mulab/App/Library/MuSynth but better in Mulab/User/Library/MuSynth !
It will work both, but the App/Library is meant to be overwritten whenever there is an update. The User/Library is meant to be much more solid. Hope i explain well.”

So, better to do how he says :)

thank you, Mihai, this is very generous of you

    • Well, more stuff to come in several formats :)

Will be a recorder pack, as Multisampla format and also as soundfont, will be bamboo chimes and a muted trumpet. Till then, be sure you’ll check the rest of the freebies around here (including my trumpet loops).

      Cheers.

    How can I install this package in MU.LAB… I don’t have folders like /app/Libary or /user/Libary …
I’ve only a Libary/MuSynth folder, and when I put it there, and want to choose it in MULAB I get a failure (Couldn’t find PFMP file MultiSampla) and then I can search for such a file, but I can’t find it and after that MULAB crashes.

Do I need the Ultimate version, to use this or why is this?

    Thanks for your answer.

    • Hi
This sample pack works best with Mu.Lab 3 or higher. You can download the latest free version from their website. It would be useful to know on what OS you work (PC or Mac) so I can give you more specific information.

Cheers mate, I’ll give these a go – tried recording some samples on a sketchy old axe of mine through a little practice amp – but these sound exponentially better than my noisy efforts! Think you might have fixed my song :)
