Similar to Gianni, I have doubled hook/chorus vocals and put each track slightly left/right, or extremely left/right for a more ridiculous sound. I found it especially interesting with Autotune, with each recording going through it's own Autotune transformation and sounding slightly unique, but melodically acceptable (to some, haha). If anyone wants to hear it in effect, let me know I'll send you one of my groups songs (R&B/Hip Hop/Pop/etc. etc. etc.)

another really good trick to add to this, is to create two mono sends, with two slightly different mono room reverbs (approx the room size in which you would put the amp in real life, so to speak). then pan each reverb opposite to the track you are appliying the effect to. so you will have the dry signal hard right and the send reverb hard left...an the other way around for the other track...experiment a bit with it, and the sound will come alive.
