I liked all the tips. I especially like the "Ideas folder." I hadn't thought of that until this.

Excellent Advice - I've not been the most careful archiver of projects in the past, and regret it almost every time :) - especially the 'Bones' Idea - shifting computer? Possibly going to use some old track elements? Deleted your VST folder... Ah.

Yeah, very good advice. However, I'd really like to pick up on the date naming format - It's essential! All my contemporaries think I'm mad date stamping all files Year/Month/Day format - but it's absolutely brilliant, and possibly my favourite method for storing multiple tracks/samples/'masters' (esp. if you to multiple mixes in one/two days and include time data as well) - it's an awesome time saver!

I do the same with files I receive, so although I may have multiple files with approximately the same name, it's very quick to separate out 'Song Name - 080809 - ProducerA Mix' from 'Song Name - 080815 - Quick Master' - named, date stamped, described.

Nic, productivity and efficiency are some of my favorite topics as a writer and it's nice to see them cross over into the world of music—they rarely ever do. Nice work and excellent tips.
