In this screencast we show you how to use Rewire to access Propellerhead Reason from within Mainstage—which is part of Apple’s Logic Studio. We create a patch in Mainstage that will trigger an individual instrument within the Reason rack. This tutorial is aimed at those who already have a good understanding of Reason and Mainstage.

    What an absolutely fantastic Tutorial! I followed it straight through to the end and got my Maelstrom up and running on Mainstage. Will try to get it into Logic next! Hopefully it’s the same deal with all the channel strips and such!

    After going through I wasn’t able to reWire Reason into Logic. I think there is a different process…it’s just a bit difficult.

    Anybody got a tutorial on how to get it into logic?

    Big question mark. I hear the voice but the picture / movie doesn’t follow the explanation at all. It’s an audio podcast only?

    Hi Dave,

    I’ve been unable to get Reason 6.5 into slave mode with Mainstage 2, even in 32 bit mode. Any thoughts?
    My machine is a MacBook Pro with Lion…
